Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, better known by her stage name Lana Del Rey, is one of the first female alternative musician. She is credited for setting a stage for other female alternative artists, and has even been credited for starting a new cultural movement by singing songs that would be seen as “masculine”, such as talking about playing the men that she sleeps with.
Lana Del Rey was born in Manhattan, NY on 21 June, 1984. She began singing when she was a young girl, and writing poetry and singing in clubs. In 2010, she moved to London, England to make her first album
